Running gear

Main bearings, connecting rod bearings and crankshaft parts

Bearing work is measured in microns, so the part has to be right the first time. We supply main, connecting rod, crosshead and thrust bearings, plus shims, bolts and crankshaft components.

  • Single unit or complete kit
  • OEM and verified alternatives
  • Certificate with shipment

What we supply

Bearing enquiries almost always come with a measurement: ovality, clearance, or a wear reading from the last survey. That is useful, because it lets us match the shell to the actual journal rather than to the drawing alone. Where a journal is undersize, we quote the matching oversize shell instead of letting you fit a standard one.

To quote accurately

What we need from you

  • 1. Engine make and type
For example MAN B&W 6S50MC-C, or Wärtsilä 6L32.
  • 2. Part number
From the manual, the invoice, or stamped on the old part.
  • 3. Quantity and destination
One unit or a set, and the port or city for delivery.
  • 4. A photo, if the number is gone
The worn part, the nameplate or a drawing with dimensions.
No part number? That is common on older engines. Send the bore, the overall length and a photo and we will work from that.

Questions

Before you enquire

Can you supply oversize bearings from a journal measurement?

Yes. Send the measured journal diameter and the standard diameter from the manual, and we quote the matching oversize shell. Fitting a standard shell to an undersize journal is the most common reason a new bearing fails early.

Do shells come with a wall thickness report?

Every set ships with a dimensional report showing wall thickness per shell. For a main bearing that is what tells you the clearance before you torque anything.

Do you supply complete engine sets?

Yes, and they are usually cheaper per shell than buying individually. For a full set we also check that all shells come from the same production lot, which matters for consistent clearance.

Tell us what you need

One part number is enough to start. Drawings, photos and nameplate details all help us confirm the match.

What to include: engine make and type, part number (if known), quantity, and the port or city you need it delivered to. A photo of the nameplate or the worn part is often faster than a part number.
