Auxiliary engines

Auxiliary engine parts for Daihatsu, Yanmar, Hanshin and Niigata engines

Auxiliary engines run the generators, so a stopped auxiliary engine is a blackout risk, not a delay. We supply cylinder units, injection equipment, pumps and coolers for the medium-speed engines that most ships carry three or four of.

  • Single unit or complete kit
  • OEM and verified alternatives
  • Certificate with shipment

Components

What we supply

Auxiliary engines are specified differently from the main engine: higher running hours at part load, lighter components, and often a mix of genuine and pattern parts already in the engine. We quote against the engine type and serial number, and we state on every quotation whether the part is OEM, an OEM-channel part or a verified alternative — because on an auxiliary engine the wrong piston ring can cost you a liner in a month.

To quote accurately

What we need from you

  • 1. Engine make and type
For example MAN B&W 6S50MC-C, or Wärtsilä 6L32.
  • 2. Part number
From the manual, the invoice, or stamped on the old part.
  • 3. Quantity and destination
One unit or a set, and the port or city for delivery.
  • 4. A photo, if the number is gone
The worn part, the nameplate or a drawing with dimensions.
No part number? That is common on older engines. Send the bore, the overall length and a photo and we will work from that.

Questions

Before you enquire

Can you supply a maintenance kit for a genset overhaul?

Yes. Send the engine type, the running hours and the manual page for the scheduled maintenance. We build the kit around what the manual calls for, then mark anything we think is unnecessary so you can decide.

Do you have parts for older Daihatsu and Yanmar types?

Commonly yes, either from stock or from manufacturers who still tool for those types. Older engines are where a photo of the nameplate and the part number helps most, because pattern parts for discontinued types vary in quality.

Will a pattern part affect the classification society survey?

Only if it is not to specification. Class cares about the part meeting the maker’s specification and being traceable, not who sold it. That is why we ship the mill certificate and the dimensional report with the part.

Tell us what you need

One part number is enough to start. Drawings, photos and nameplate details all help us confirm the match.

What to include: engine make and type, part number (if known), quantity, and the port or city you need it delivered to. A photo of the nameplate or the worn part is often faster than a part number.
