Lubrication
Marine lube oil pumps, filters and coolers
Oil pressure alarms are usually a pump, a clogged filter or a cooler that has stopped exchanging heat. We supply the pump, the filter elements, the cooler bundle and the valves around them, matched to your engine type.

Components
What we supply
Lubrication parts are rarely urgent until they are: a lube oil pump that loses pressure takes the bearings with it in minutes. The practical split is wear parts (filter elements, seals, gaskets) that you keep on board, and major parts (pump, cooler bundle) that you replace at overhaul. We quote both, and we tell you which parts are worth carrying as spares for your running hours.
| Component | Function | Supply notes |
|---|---|---|
| Lube oil pump | Circulates oil through the engine | Screw, gear or centrifugal; complete or rotating assembly |
| Duplex oil filter | Removes wear particles | Housing, element set, changeover valve |
| Filter element | The consumable | Paper, mesh or depth type, per micron rating |
| Lube oil cooler | Removes heat from the oil | Plate pack or tube bundle replacement |
| Thermostatic valve | Holds oil at working temperature | Wax element, set to engine specification |
| Pressure regulating valve | Protects the circuit from overpressure | Spring-loaded, with setting record |
| Level gauge and switch | Sump level indication and alarm | Mechanical gauge or float switch |
| Safety and bypass valve | Relief path around the filter or cooler | Set pressure stamped |

Questions
Before you enquire
Do I need to replace the whole cooler or just the bundle?
On most engines the housing outlives two or three bundles. If the housing is sound and the flanges are clean, a bundle and gasket set restores the cooler for a fraction of the cost. We ask for photographs of the housing before quoting the cheaper option.
Can you match filter elements that are no longer listed?
Usually yes, from the element dimensions and the micron rating rather than the brand. Send the element diameter, length and end-cap type; that is enough to match most cartridges.
How do I know the pump will fit?
Mounting flange, shaft diameter, rotation and flow rate at your engine speed decide it. A photograph of the nameplate plus the drawing reference is the fastest way to confirm.
