Cylinder liners, pistons and piston rings for marine engines
Cylinder components decide how long an engine stays between overhauls. We supply liners, pistons, rings and covers as individual parts or as a complete per-unit overhaul kit, with material certificates attached.
- Single unit or complete kit
- OEM and verified alternatives
- Certificate with shipment
- Quotation in one business day

What we supply
A cylinder unit is a matched set. A liner that is dimensionally right but wrong on hardness, or a ring set with the wrong chrome content, will wear out a piston crown long before its time. Our job is to keep the set matched: we quote liner, piston, rings and cover together, and we tell you when a cheaper alternative changes the overhaul interval.
| Component | Function | Supply notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cylinder liner | Wear surface for the piston ring pack | Cast iron, chrome or plasma coated; honed to OEM bore tolerance |
| Piston crown | Combustion chamber, carries the top ring groove | Forged or cast steel; oil-cooled types available |
| Piston skirt / piston body | Guides the piston, carries the gudgeon pin | Cast iron or steel, matched to crown type |
| Piston rod | Transmits force to the crosshead | Forged steel, surface hardened |
| Piston rings | Seal combustion gas and control oil | Top, second and oil rings; chrome or plasma faced |
| Cylinder cover | Closes the cylinder, holds valves and injector | Cast steel with valve and injector bores |
| Exhaust valve & seat | Exhaust gas path, high thermal load | Nimonic or stellited seat faces |
| Fuel valve / injector | Atomises fuel into the chamber | Nozzle and needle matched to fuel type |

Questions
Before you enquire
Can you supply a single liner instead of a full set?
Yes. Most of our cylinder enquiries are single units for a mid-life repair. We also quote full sets for a complete overhaul, which is usually cheaper per unit.
How do I confirm the liner fits my engine?
Send the engine make and type, the serial number if you have it, and the part number stamped on the old liner. Where a number is missing, the bore, flange diameter and overall length from a drawing are enough for us to match it.
Do you supply genuine parts or alternatives?
Both, and we label which is which on every quotation. Genuine parts carry the OEM packaging and price; alternatives come from Chinese manufacturers who supply the same specification, at a lower cost and often a shorter lead time.
